OM(usic) - The Loops Of Fury

You might remember The Loops Of Fury from a certain Flick a Switch promo mix they did last summer. I know I played the hell out of it. I didn't realize at the time that they were still relatively unknown and gearing up for a 'rebirth'.

You see, James Wall and Maximillion Clarke used to known as Hyperion and they had been rocking crowds in Brisbane since at least 2006 (thats just as far back as I can tell) under that name with lots of support from the industry. U&A Recordings owner Simon Shackleton aka Elite Force, met the two in Brisbane and then asked them to play a live set at MoonBar in April 2009. Check the video
This was thier last live performance as Hyperion. James and Max have resurfaced this year with U&A's first full release as The Loops Of Fury, the SOAP EP. The original is a mad, bouncing, electro house builder. This layering and pushing the envelope is taken straight from the energy of their live performances (I've never seen them and even I can tell you that!). I'm really diggin the Peo De Pitte breaks mix too, he's definitely someone to keep an eye on as well. Get the whole EP over on beatport.

UPDATE: This just in... Mr. Shackelton just sent us this 30 min mix the boys did to promote the SOAP release:
