**UPDATE** Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It to air on VH1

****UPDATE 5/17/10*****
"VH1 will air a half-hour special first look at Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It on Monday, May 31 with the full series set to premiere in Fall 2010. The series will show the audience Bret's life "when he isn't touring, shooting, partying and rocking out.""

****UPDATE 5/5/10****
"Bret Michaels has been released from the Phoenix, Arizona, hospital where he has been treated since suffering a massive brain hemorrhage 12 days ago, his neurosurgeon said Tuesday.

Doctors "are feeling pretty confident" that Michaels will not suffer another hemorrhage and will fully recover, Dr. Joseph Zabramski said.
The rock singer and reality TV star faces four to six weeks of rest before he can resume a normal schedule, the doctor said."

***UPDATE 4/28/10****
A USA Today source quoted: "While rocker Bret Michaels was upgraded to "critical but stable" condition yesterday, his publicist says he has also suffered a "setback."
A note on Bret's site says he is experiencing "a side effect from the brain hemorrhage called hyponatremia a lack of sodium in the body which leads to seizures." Michaels remains under 24-hour observation in the ICU unit in an Arizona hospital "and is in positive spirits," the note says. "He is responding well to tests and treatments. Even though today was a minor setback, doctors remain hopeful for a full recovery."

***UPDATE 4/27/10***
A source close to the situation said, "Bret is still in ICU. He still has the headache and is heavily sedated." Michaels is being watched by doctors in the Intensive Care Unit.

****4/23/10****
"Poison frontman and reality TV star Bret Michaels is reportedly in critical condition after sustaining a brain hemorrhage Thursday night. Michaels, 47, was rushed to a hospital after complaining of an excruciating headache and doctors performed several CAT scans, MRIs and an aniogram before keeping him in the ICU."

Hanson's new Album due June 8, 2010

HANSON, SHOUT IT OUT (June 8)

"In the years since ''MMMBop,'' the brotherly trio has become an accomplished pop-rock group. This is their first album since 2007 — and since lead singer Taylor Hanson made new fans by teaming with members of the Smashing Pumpkins, Cheap Trick, and Fountains of Wayne for the supergroup Tinted Windows last year."

Just for fun

I See Stars Acoustic cover of The Outfield's "Your Love":

(His voice is a little to whiny in the acoustic version, but I definatly jam the studio version in my car.)

Check out Punk Goes Classic Rock for some fun new versions of your favorite classics. My favorites on the album is "Caught up in you" a 38special original covered by We The Kings, and "Take me home tonight" Eddie Money covered by Every Avenue.

I buy all the "Punk Goes..." records, this is the 9th release and is by far my favorite.. it reminds me of summer for some reason! Maybe because I have seen most of the Original bands that are covered on this album live at summer concerts.

"Doughnuts..are the street thug of the pastry world.."

Yesterday my friend and I went to Sublime Doughnuts for the first time! Let me just say these were the best Doughnuts I've ever had!
Located on:
535 10th Street NW
Atl, GA 30318
(near GA Tech Campus)
404-897-1801
6am-6pm.

The doughnuts are handmade and aren't your typical Doughnut flavors, we tried the A-Town Mocha and S'mores Doughnut! I would have loved to try them all but these two were definatly a great pick! I can't wait to go back and try more, not to mention I will be keeping these in mind for birthday presents and gifts!

"The A-Town Cream doughnut is filled with silky custard and topped with Belgian Callebaut Dark Chocolate, this 'A' Doughnut is on it's way to becoming Atlanta's new signature sweet!"
Quotes the website, and I couldn't agree more!

These Doughnuts were even featured in the NY Times, apparently thats where the Chef Kamal Grant got his start, and he came across a vacant doughnut shop on 10th, and since then his doughnuts have been flying off the shelves! He really knows what he is doing and his been written up multiple times in newspapers in Atlanta.

I know us Atlantans love our Krispy Kreme, but I definatly recommend giving it a try!
(the s'mores doughnut)
YUM!

Disney options 'Fallen' books for film.

Disney has optioned rights to "Fallen," a young-adult novel by Lauren Kate that features angels.
My friend Marjorie got me an unreleased copy of this book as I enjoy reading supernatural romance books. So far, I've heard great reviews on this newly released novel!

The book, released in early December, is part of a four-tome series, all of which were included in the deal. The contemporary story centers on an alienated girl torn between two charismatic young men, unaware that they are fallen angels who have battled over her for centuries.

"Twilight" comparisons are inevitable, and angels have been identified as the next trend in young-adult fiction with vampire and werewolf tales having inundated the market. "Fallen" and titles like Becca Fitzpatrick's "Hush, Hush," which was moved from a 2010 publication date to this past October, present angels as otherworldly hotties who are immortal and possess bad-boy charm. "Fallen" is the first cherubic title to receive major Hollywood attention.

Alot of people are second guessing how Disney will do " Dark and seductive", when we are used to seeing "Cheery and bright" from them. Will Disney do this book justice? Or will they break the mold so to speak if they make this book come to life the right way. Guess we will wait and see, dates have not been released as to when this movie will come out but I am definatly looking forward to seeing how this pans out.

Here's a quick preview of what the book is about:

There's something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.

Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price's attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He's the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.

Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce--and goes out of his way to make that very clear--she can't let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her.

Dangerously exciting and darkly romantic, Fallen is a page turning thriller and the ultimate love story.

This place would be fun for a treat, birthday dinner or just a nice relaxing evening at the bar. I would love to go back and try new things!

New Moon's extended Trailer revealed at VMA's

'Twilight" fans tuning into Sunday's 2009 MTV Video Music Awards thirsting for a glimpse at the film's stars, also got a surprise taste of the next film to come.
Photobucket

"Twilight's" toothsome love triangle – Taylor Lautner (Jacob), Kristen Stewart (Bella) and Robert Pattinson (Edward) – presented an extended trailer for "New Moon" during Sunday night's show, which now has launched a fan frenzy.
Photobucket

"Whether you're Team Jacob or Team Edward, we want to thank you for your undying support over the past year," Stewart said, sporting a strapless Valentino minidress and Rock & Republic heels.

"For tonight, we're bringing you and only you a first look at a movie we've been working on for months," Pattison said.

And Lautner, dressed smartly in a Calvin Klein suit, wrapped with, "Just for the MTV Video Music Awards, this is the extended trailer of ‘New Moon.'"

The audience learns along with Bella that vampires have laws, and they are enforced by the elite Volturi.

It seems Edward's relationship with Bella has put him in some seriously hot water with the vampire royalty.

Bella also becomes a bit self-destructive, and one of her adrenaline-junkie stunts leaves her undead lover convinced that his human paramour is dead, with near-tragic results.

Photobucket

"New Moon," the second film in the vampire romance saga, hits theaters on Nov. 20.
-NY Dailynews.com

For those of you out there who read the Twilight Series Nov. 20th can't get here soon enough. Presale tickets are already almost SOLD out and the film is still 9 weeks away from being released!! I am personally really impressed with the new director. This film seems to be done alot better and more close to the book than "Twilight", which is definatly what fans are looking for. It will be very interesting to see how the whole thing turns out!

Trueblood!!

Photobucket

It's official! The Tru Blood drink has now been 'de-fictionalized' and emerges into reality as a delicious blood orange carbonated drink.
Photobucket

For those of you who watch Trueblood on HBO you will know what this is! Trueblood is the brand of Synthetic Blood that is served to the Vamps @ Merlotte's & Fangtasia!
Photobucket

Meticulously crafted, the Tru Blood Drink is an exact replica of the bottle design as seen on True Blood. The 14oz glass Tru Blood bottle is stained in a rich red, with raised Tru Blood English lettering and matching Japanese Kanji.
This blood orange flavored soda is slightly tart, lightly sweet and subtly carbonated. Designed to taste great while matching the appearance of Bill’s favorite drink, the drink pours like a regular soda, but with the standing appearance in a glass is stormy and mysterious.

This stuff is available starting September 8th on www.hbo.com , you can bet they are gonna bank on that seeing as it is $16.00 for a 4pack of this stuff!!
Photobucket

But I know I can't wait to try it, its a gotta have for Halloween!
They even have cute recipes to use Trueblood with my fav being:
The Fangbanger - Trueblood & Vodka

Yummy.
