Adam Yauch of Beastie Boys recovering after surgery.

After being diagnosed as having a cancerous tumor in his left parotid (salivary) gland in mid July of this year,
Adam "MCA" Yauch of Beastie Boys claims that he is feeling "healthy, strong, and hopeful" after surgery according to punknews.org .  He also claimed to be "Taking Tibetan mediceine and eating a vegan/organic diet as suggested by his Tibetan doctors." 

The Beastie Boys canceled all their upcoming 2009 tour dates and pushed back the release of their new record titled "Hot Sauce Committe Part 1" until further notice.
