Incredible. Just sick. When I saw the track name in the email and who it was from I knew I had to hear this. I haven't heard Epidemic's work before, but I've heard a lot of J. Paul and OB-one : HavocNdeeD. They definitely did a damn good job of putting their grimey electro with some dubstep breakdown on the old Siouxsie & The Banshees song. Great work guys!!

Mötley Crüe Frontman Busted With DUI!
LAS VEGAS -- Motley Crue singer Vince Neil, who last week had declared his sobriety, was arrested on drunken driving charges after getting pulled over by police in his Lamborghini near the Las Vegas Strip.
"Sounds like someone really fell off the wagon last weekend!
The Las Vegas Police Department was looking for Motley Crue's Vince Neil well before his DUI last night because he was a suspect in smashing a fan's camera earlier that night.
A woman told the police that Neil grabbed her camera after she snapped a photo of him and he decided to smash it! Police went looking for him and when his car was spotted they pulled him over, eventually nabbing him on suspicion of DUI."
According to Neil's wife, he's been sober for 3 years.
Neil hasn't been sober for a long time. Who is she kidding?

Rock It Science Labs
Besides being the handsome gentleman in the pic above...Eric Sharp is the founder of Rock It Science Labs. "Rock It Science Laboratories is a fresh music label that zooms forth from one of San Francisco’s favorite warehouse party-maker crews turned club promoters, event tacticians, musicians and remixers. The Laboratories sound scape draws from a wide spectrum of underground influences developed at Rock It Science parties with the unifying principle of tracks being engineered directly for the dance floor."
Wiggle Room is the first EP from Rock It Sci Labs available now on Beatport with remixes from Santiago & Bushido, Trillbass, Andrew Phelan & George Cochrane.
Also, in celebration of the first Rock It release... Eric has been kind enough to drop us a few exclusive remixes from his personal arsenal of dancefloor faves, Thanks Eric! Enjoy!

OMF(ood)G - SIMPLY DELICIOUS - TAP A GASTROPUB
SIMPLY DELICIOUS (2)
We are so lucky to have such a variety of restaurants in Atlanta! Today I chose to try TAP A GASTROPUB for lunch. Good choice! I tried in the “SHARES” food section on the menu, fried pickles, but these are bread & butter fried pickles rather than dill and they are very tasty. Also, I tried boiled peanuts which are very tasty and would be great with one of their many types of beer. I had some of their French onion soup (yummy) as a side with the “COWGIRL CREAMERY” GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH (also yummy).
I had 2 friends with me and they both had tacos and said they were excellent! They too loved the pickles and peanuts. The menu offers a variety of sandwiches, burgers, tacos, soups and salads. Whoops, desserts like sticky toffee pudding (OMG). Brunch & Lunch menu is available during the weekend. Wait until you see the beer and drink selection!
Brandy Ramsey was the Manager in charge today and her wonderful personality helps make you feel welcome! The address is 1180 Peachtree St., Atlanta, GA 30309, phone 404-347-2220. (www.TAPAT1180.COM)
They also have valet parking.

Admiral Freebee - My Hippie Ain't Hip (Harvey Remix)
This is the second release from Playout! Music that I've put up here on OMFG. The Harvey remix is the main reason I like this release. The original track is very good, don't get me wrong. But that almost minimal progressive sound that Harvey injects into his remix is the main reason I've been digging on Playout! The original track from Admiral Freebee is a blues infused rock anthem and there are lots of other genres heard throughout the new album "The Honey and The Knife". The artwok is by Ed Templeton of Toy Machine Skateboard Co.

Scott Hardkiss - Beat Freak (Paul Woolford Remix)
"This remix of Scott Hardkiss’ “Beat Freak,” from prolific British techno wizard Paul Woolford, might inspire you to play air drums. Don’t do it. Understand that those snares, while exhilarating, are produced by a machine, not a human. It’s best to just let them hit you like a nine-minute peppering of Nerf balls. Woolford was just one of many to tackle “Beat Freak”–the other versions can be found on a new remix EP that just landed through God Within." (godwithin.com)

OMFG - HEAVY RETURNS THIS SAT!!!
This is def where you want to be this Saturday night in Atlanta. HEAVY is one of the hardest hitting parties to go down @ The Graveyard Tavern in East Atlanta Village. Not only is the music great, but the people who throw the party are awesome as well!
Here is the video for this month, shot partly at our buddy Todd's house. I know this video is to show how house parties are lame compared to clubs. Us here at OMFG just want to clear up that a party at Todd's house can be pretty intense too! LOL!
SOOOO see you all Saturday night! It's gonna be EPIC!

Blue Six - Noesis
In a previous life... I collected everything Naked Music released. I discovered Blue Six (aka Naked Music co-founder Jay Denes) back in '99 when I heard 'Music and Wine' the first time on Houseworks/88.5 WRAS. I fell in love with the deep, jazzy, sexy house sound and dreamed of taking a pilgrimage to Frisco to find out how all these people could be so happy and in love. Picking up every single thing I could find which held that sexy soul was the closest I could get to actually making that dream come true. I have since fallen off the deep house wagon and taken up louder, less subtle musical habits. But I still love the whole feeling that these artists/songs embodied and I hope you will too. Blue Six's latest album was released last Tuesday on iTunes and Amazon.

Tiefschwarz - Home
Tiefshwarz are probably best known for their track 'Damage with Tracey Thorn' and the huge Mandy remix that followed. But the german brothers Ali and Basti Shwarz began their music career way back in the '90s and have been churning out quality techno and house the whole time. *note: I posted the first picture because I thought it went best with the track I have to post here, but when I saw the second one I thought they looked more like male models and had to post for contrast.
Home is off of their third album 'Chocolate' which will be quickly followed by 'More Chocolate, both out on Tiefshwarz own label Souvenier
"‘Chocolate’ is everything: subtle, bitter, and sweet, without milk and sugar, it is hand crafted from only the finest ingredients. The only problem is that the 16 pieces of “Chocolate” are highly addictive. Once you've tasted the edgy vocal contributions of Cassy, Dave Aju, Daniel Wilde & Seth Troxler - added to the bittersweet beat-making expertise of Philipp “Santé” Maier, you'll be looking everywhere for more...So on that note they carefully concoct
“More Chocolate," the follow up essential piece of the chocolate bar. By harvesting more vocal weirdness, blending just a pinch of club-driven rhythms and tempering them with the perfect amount of deepness. A new collection of seven beat-driven flavors, which taste even better where they are played together... And will leave you craving a tall glass of milk to swallow it all down." (low life inc)

Joshua Heath featuring Colette - Call On Me
Atlanta, meet west coast house all-stars Colette and Joshua Heath. I've been a fan of Colette since she got picked up on OM Records in early 2000. She's stuck to the deep house vibe while bringing a diva's soul and incredible vocals to every track. If you're lucky, you may have seen her perform here in ATL on her recent tour. Joshua Heath is another OM Records artist hailing from Fresno, CA. He released his first house record in '05 and was quickly picked up in '06 by Salted Music, a label ran by another one of my all-time favorite west coast producers, Miguel Migs. In other words, this release has huge potential written all over it. Out now on Candy Talk Records. Click here to purchase the full tracks.

Yay, more Ghostly International! Perfect for Sunday!

The Heart Connects To The Head 10. Intend-Evolve 11. You Are Always Surrounded By Stars 12. Subconscious Transmission 13. Light Into Branches 14. Branches Into Flowers 15. Flowers Into Stardust (CD/Digital Bonus) "Christopher Willits occupies a unique corner of the electronic-music universe—hovering above the intersection of electronic production’s nuts and bolts and a wide-open creative mind. “I am a conduit of the process, a kind of gardener,” he says. “I simply imagine, intuit, respond and do the work laid before me.” Willits’ tireless responding and doing and working has produced 20 albums in 10 years—solo and in collaboration with artists including Ryuichi Sakamoto on 2008's Ocean Fire —and an organic, multi-faceted sound that expands like the vines of an electro-acoustic kudzu plant. Christopher Willits is a label owner (the experimental hub Overlap), a meditator, a tech geek, an audio/visual artist, a teacher (he's hosted the series "What You Talkin' About Willits?" on XLR8R.TV since 2008), and virtuosic musician in one. In other words, there's no one out there quite like him. Willits’ 2nd full-length on Ghostly International, Tiger Flower Circle Sun, is his most technologically complex yet—it's also his most organic, drifting skyward in a swell of ambient hums and subtle polyrhythms. With an imagination as blissfully overactive as our friend Willits', the only place to go is up. Tiger Flower Circle Sun arrives on July 26th in Europe and July 27th in North America." OMF(ood)G - SIMPLY DELICIOUS - D.B.A. Barbecue
SIMPLY DELICIOUS
One of the things I enjoy most in life is EATING! I do not consider myself a connoisseur of food but I do like almost anything eatable and I think I am a good judge of what is good and not so good.
I work in downtown Atlanta and am fortunate to be in an area where many good restaurants are located so I thought I would share some of my “not expert” opinions on the food experiences I have had.
The first will be Virginia Highland D.B.A. Barbecue, located at 1190 N. Highland Ave., N. E. Atlanta, GA. Where to start….the appetizers or “snacks” as they call them are just wonderful. You could fill up on them and never make it to the main menu! Fried pickles, fried green tomatoes and warm white cheese and corn muffins with honey butter are just some of their “snacks”. They even have boiled peanuts!
The pulled pork sandwich will melt in mouth as well as the pulled chicken sandwich. Perhaps you are in to veggies, well come and get them! You have to try the grilled creamed corn (yummy), collards, fried okra, mac and cheese just to mention a few. They have a variety of sandwiches like pimento cheese with bacon and tomato and smoked turkey and they have wings and ribs. www.dbabarbecue.com
Did I mention they have a variety of beers and drinks! What more could you ask for???
I have made myself hungry so we will try another restaurant next time.

Smack My Bitch Up (AN21 and Max Vangeli Bootleg) - Prodigy
A huge remix released for free for the summer by AN21 and Max Vangeli. Not exactly my style, it's definitely a good UK club track and most techno/progressive enthusiasts should enjoy. OMFG(TV) - Pretty Little Liars - June 8th
Meet some of the prettiest little liars you've ever seen............
"Rosewood is a perfect little town. So quiet and pristine, you'd never guess it holds so many secrets. Some of the ugliest ones belong to the prettiest girls in town -- Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily, four estranged friends whose darkest secrets are about to unravel.
One year ago, Alison, the Queen Bee of their group, disappeared and the girls swore they'd never tell what really happened that night. They thought their secrets would bond them together, but just the opposite is true. Then again, who's to say what the truth is in Rosewood. It seems everyone in town is lying about something.
Now, as the mystery surrounding Alison's disappearance resurfaces, the girls begin getting messages from "A," saying – and threatening – things only Alison would know. But it couldn't be Alison. Could it? Whoever it is, they seem to know all the girls' secrets, and seem to be watching their every move. The girls are friends again, but will they be there for each other if their dark secrets come to light?" --- Official Site
The show will air June 8th on ABC Family. It's a lot of pretty face and gossip-girl-ish with Alison being called 'A'. Very much like Blair and Serena being referred to as 'B' & 'S'. BUT let's see if these hot ladies can make a hit show! Check out the trailer below:

Culprit 1 - Distraction
"...affectionately referred to as the Welsh DJ Shadow" wasn't what caught my attention to this song (ok I lied, yeah that definitely made me curious). It was this line, "a great beat, twinkling electronica, 70s synths and an indian santur". Personally, I think it sounds more like Pretty Lights with less glitch. You tell me. Culprit 1 released this EP on Exceptional Records, catch it on iTunes or Beatport.

JDSY - Blue Newspaper
I really couldn't describe this album any better than Moodgadget has, so I'll let them tell you all about it. But I've been jamming to these tracks in my car all week and I already recognize this guy's sound as soon as another one comes on in the shuffle mode, awesome stuff. Don't miss the free track 'Telluride' below!
"Avant pop poster boy Joey Sims, aka JDSY has returned with Blue Newspaper, his newest full-length album and third release on Moodgadget. In the same vein as with previous releases, Adage of Known and Understander EP, Blue Newspaper is an untamed and multifaceted listening experience. Material from his most recent productions is interwoven with work from earlier periods, creating an eclectic collage of warm, sparkling layers of sound with a slightly more positive tone than in previous outings. Of the lyrics, Sims explains, "the lyrical segments are very spontaneously written and are cathartic emotional outlets," admitting they "basically wrote themselves." His considerably experimental approach to songwriting and production has yielded what may be his most astonishing and original musical outing to date.
Blue Newspaper, while certainly diverse from song-to-song, is noticeably more approachable than its predecessors, Joey's goal was to create something that is easy to listen to, while still catering to critical ears and new listeners alike. His cues are derived from everything from hip hop-style sampling to traditional pop song structures, alternative music from the 90's and cryptic expressions of personality from the likes of Squarepusher and Autechre. "The music is conscious of being sacharrine pop music, but sincere and unlike ironic indie pop music." With a deeply-rooted interest in the sonic insanity of electronic music, JDSY seeks out an aural dimension that may sound, "alien and unfamiliar, but still rings true somehow."
Telluride - JDSY
p.s. I highly recommend you check out the rest of the album on Moodgadget, D4 (school track) is my current fave!
