The California rock group is touring North American tour with original frontman David Lee Roth in support of its forthcoming album, A Different Kind of Truth. The current band features three-quarters of the original lineup: Roth, guitarist Eddie Van Halen and his brother, drummer Alex Van Halen. Eddie's son Wolfgang Van Halen has replaced original bassist Michael Anthony.

Thursday 4/19/12 at 8:00pm at Philips Arena with Kool and the Gang.

OMFG(lam) - Kardashian Nail Polish For The Win!

So, I know, I know....you are tired of hearing about the Kardashians. They are everywhere these days. Not only do they have their reality shows, but they have their clothing line at Sears, silly bands, and now Kardashian Kolor nail polish! Well, even though you are probably saying that you are sick of them, I just don't really believe you. Guys, you probably don't care about this, but girls LISTEN UP!

I bought two bottles of their new nail polish by Opi at Target. I wanted to test them out and see if this was actually a good product or just a bunch of KDash hype. Well, I was pleasantly surprised!! This nail polish is just rad. I wanted something dark so the first color I chose was Khloe's color called "Khloe Had A Little Lam-Lam." I bought it just coz it was dark, I didn't realize that it was a dark green, but I LOVE it & have never worn any shade of green nail polish before. So it was kinda a cool choice. Since one of my favorite nail-painting-past-times has been dark colors with glitter on top, I also had to purchase Kylie's color called "Rainbow in the S-Kylie." This is absolutely the best glitter nail polish that I have ever used. It's fun because there are all different colors and sizes of glitter specks with the polish. You can just keep painting and painting the same nail until you get the glitter look that you like the best. This is an OMFG approved product! Go get some!

GWC, The Daniels Bros, and In It For the Chicks at Peachtree Tavern

Welcome the weekend with an insane lineup at Peachtree Tavern in Buckhead! Tonight, 3 of Atlanta's most awesome bands will be hitting the stage to rock your face! Greedy White Citizens are back in Atlanta for the first time since last summer and are bringing new music tonight for your listening pleasure. After attending plenty of GWC shows in Atlanta, I can tell you this is one party you don't want to miss!

The Daniels Brothers are no stranger to the Atlanta scene. The brothers, from Atlanta, were raised on Southern Rock music and are influenced by classic rock and alternative. They've built up a substaintial fan base by playing many bars across the South, including Atlanta area bars: Ri Ra, Dive Bar Buckhead, McCray's, and The Big Ketch.

In It for the Chicks is a 2 piece rock and roll band from Alanta. If you've never seen these guys, you're missing out! Even though it's only 2 guys, they put on one of the most high energy shows I've ever seen. These guys have also played many venues in Atlanta such as Tin Roof, East Side Lounge, and Peachtree Tavern.

Show is TONIGHT! Peachtree Tavern in Buckhead. 21+ show. $10 in adv/prob. $12 at the door. That's a great price for a lot of AWESOME!

Whelp, just in time for the new year, Russell Brand files for divorce from Katy Perry as TMZ just reported.

Apparently this split is coming as a "shock" to Katy Perry, although I don't see how since it's been in the news for weeks now that they have been having problems. The couple had been married for a little over a year. They seemed like such a good pair, but I guess they just didn't "mesh well".

The Black Keys - El Camino

The Black Keys new album El Camino is ~~good~~ GREAT. Indie/Blues/Folk/Rock at its finest. This record took a few listens before I took to it, which is usually a good sign. It takes a little time to wrap your head around the overall feeling and theme to this record. From front to back, it's another fabulous addition to their library. The album really begins to shine halfway through, literally halfway through. Run Right Back packs a heavy punch, Sister is hauntingly smooth, and Stop Stop is full blown pop genius. My only issue with this release, is that I feel as if Lonely Boy is misplaced in the tracking, it is such a gem, and would fit amazingly as an album ender. (just my opinion). Go check it.

Toyota's Awesome Fun-Vii concept car

Have you ever wished your car could change to fit your mood? Wanted to tell that person who cut you off or is riding your tail EXACTLY how you feel? Well, Toyota's new concept car, the Fun-Vii, will allow you to do just that! You would be able to create custom graphics on the exterior AND the interior display and change them with a simple tap of an app.

Toyota envisions the car as a fully interactive car that is connected to the Internet and a mobile network of other vehicles. Besides just being an awesome and fun car, the the Fun-Vii will alert the driver to potential road hazards such as a car in the blind spot or cars ahead making emergency stops.

The car features would be controlled by a smartphone or tablet app, so changes could be made inside or outside of the car. Pretty neat, huh? Until you accidentally tweet naked pictures to your car's exterior....oh my.

If you're ever in Odenville, AL and craving some meat... from convenience store, Lil Mart has got you covered. This meat vending machine is a pilot product from a new company called Smart Butcher. They hope to start expanding to campground and state parks. The machine accepts $1 bills, $5 bills, and credit/debit cards. It offers a wide variety such as pork steaks, sirloin, ribeye, sausages, etc.

Want an 8 ounce cut of sirloin? That will only cost you $3.99! You are able to inspect the meat before paying. Each neat meat is individually sealed and refrigerated so it's safe for dinner. Who would have thought you could get some gas AND dinner at the gas station??

Las Vegas natives, The Killers, haven't had a studio album since 2008, they release a new single every year to support RED, the AIDS fighting charity. In 2008 they had a collaboration with Elton John & Neil Tennant (Pet Shop Boys) and in 2009 they made a Spanish influenced ditty with Wild Light & Mariachi El Bronx. This year's "The Cowboys' Christmas Ball" is an upbeat song (now avaialable on iTunes) that creates a vivid picture of cowboys and ranch hands partying at Christmas time. You can listen to an unofficial stream of the song here.

The past 6 years of benefit songs are available for download on iTunes. You'll get 6 songs for $5.99, and be supporting a great cause all at the same time. Also, look forward to a new album from these guys. They have been in the studio this year working on their fourth album.

It’s not too hard to follow up the horrendous Black Eyed Peas' 2011 halftime show, but let’s hope Madonna’s still got the panache to carry out the performance. With a new tour and album on the horizon for 2012, Madonna will give us a sneak peek of some new material during the upcoming halftime show. It is speculated that she will perform the first new single “Give Me All Your Love” which features Nicki Minaj and MIA (who may perform with the pop diva!)

The Super Bowl will take place on February 5th in Indianapolis.

Dwight Yoakam and Tyler Reeve at Wild Bill’s – 12/3/11

TONIGHT’S THE NIGHT! Legendary country musician Dwight Yoakam will be hitting the stage at Wild Bill’s in Duluth. He has recorded over 21 albums, racked up over 30 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts and has sold an impressive 25 million records. His 1986 debut LP Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc. launched his career, and he has been enjoying a incredible ride since then.

Country greats such as Johnny Cash and Chris Isaak have acknowledged Yoakam’s talent and creativity. His song Honky Tonk Man was the first country song ever played on MTV. Yoakam hasn’t always stuck solely to the “country music” genre and has covered many different songs from rock & roll, punk, and the blues. In 2011, he recorded a duet with pop starlet Michelle Branch. The song called Long Goodby” was available as a free download on Branch’s website.

Also appearing is Atlanta’s own Tyler Reeve. He draws influence from the “good ‘ol country” such as Willie Nelson, Hank Williams Jr, and Waylon Jennings. Reeve and his band always put on a full of energy, great show and will be a perfect combination with Yoakam. Reeve’s toured with many national country acts like Montgomery Gentry, Jamey Johnson, Little Big Town, Eric Church, Jack Ingram, and Eli Young Band. Go find him on Facebook and “LIKE” him!

Tyler Reeve plays from 9 - 10pm, and Dwight Yoakam goes on at 10:30. Tickets are $30 general admission / $40 at door general admission or $60 per seat at a table of 4. Wild Bill’s is a great venue, and you get your money’s worth in great performances.

My friend was lucky enough to get a ticket to the screening of Charlize Theron's new movie.

Young Adult will be hitting theaters, Dec. 16th. Here's a peak:

Following her divorce, 37 year old Mavis Gary (Charlize) realized her life is not how she expected it to be. This hot-mess decides to go back to her small hometown in Minnesota to get her high school/college ex-boyfriend (Patrick Wilson) back even though he is now happily married with a kid.The awkwardness that comes from this sticky situation is almost painfully uncomfortable at times. That being said, the idea of returning to a time in your life when things seemed easier and perfect is definitely relatable. The movie tackles the drama that follows her decision to get back her ex in a very realistic way rather than a "there's-no-way-that-would-ever-happen-in-real-life" way which was a refreshing change of pace for me. So if you want a realistic drama with a couple of laughs thrown in, and don't mind awkward uncomfortableness then I would definitely suggest you see this movie...but wouldn't spend crazy movie theater prices for it.

The perfect setting to enjoy this movie is at home on the couch in your comfiest pjs.

A great new project out of Africa has created a song to support the climate movement there. In the past 16 years, there has been no action from the United Nations climate talks, and the people are getting frustrated. Enter a group of musicians from throughout Africa and around the world created a “theme song.” The song was written to tell the truth about how the climate change is affecting Africa and also in the hope of inspiring more people to join in the cause and make the future better for everyone.

The song is called “People Power” feat Talib Kweli, Zap Mama, Angelique Kidjo, Ahmed Soultan, Zolani Mahola (From the group who did the world cup song Waka Waka with Shakira: Freshlyground ) and Jabulani Tsambo. You may recognize a few of these names: Talib Kweli has collaborated with many American rap/hip hop/R & B artists such as Kanye West, Common, Mary J. Blige, and Faith Evans. We also featured Ahmed Soultan in a Sept. 2009 (Ahmed Soultan - Taste of Music in Morocco) after I heard him on the radio while visiting Morocco.

Got Hanson Beer?

Yep, it’s true. Those shaggy haired boys from the late 90’s are going into a new line of work. Hanson’s all grown up now and creating their own brand of beer playfully named “Mmmhop” inspired by their 1997 hit “Mmmbop.” The guys (Isaac, 31, Taylor, 28, and Zac, 26) announced the new venture on Monday and they’re hoping the fans dig it. Zac says “It’s vital our fans have trust in everything Hanson do. We are soon going to be selling our own beer. I’m not joking – Mmmhop IPA anyone?” The beer expected to hit shelves early next year will be an Indian pale ale. Bottoms up!

"The North American road trip, helmed by the band's only original member Axl Rose, marks the band's first since 2006. As Guns N' Roses returns to Atlanta for the first time since 1987, the debauchery still seems to follow the band to this day."

Axl’s performance reminded Atlanta what a real rock star should look and sound like. He was in a great mood throughout his 3 hour set and frequently joked with band members and his audience. He is quite a jokester. He mentioned his last visit to Atlanta and how he was arrested on-stage for punching a security guard at the Omni in 1987. He teased about 3 songs in and said “Well, I’ve gotten farther tonight than I did in 1987.” He told us the story about when he was sitting in the Paddy wagon with cuffs on. His manager came to him and said “I think we’ve got this worked out, all you need to do it apologize to the Security Guard.” Axl’s apology consisted of two words that weren’t “I’m sorry” but started with “F – you”.

By the end of the show, he expressed a heartfelt appreciation for the good reception he received from the audience. When the show ended at nearly 2am with Paradise City, many of the people stayed and sang every word to the songs they knew. When it was done Axl twirled around some girls panties and bra that were flung onto the stage and kept running back and forth on the stage. Axl seemed to not want to leave the stage telling everyone to get home safe and come back and see him again and wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas.

Former child star of Fox’s “Malcom in the Middle” is engaged to his girlfriend of 4 years, Elycia Marie Turnbow. Frankie and Marie will wed in six months, and will have many celebrity guests such as the Jonas Brothers and most likely Hanson (not confirmed, but makes my inner 14 year old self squeal).

According to “US Magazine,” the couple allegedly had a “falling out” which involved a 911 call and police back in February that both sides have denied. Apparently she was just trashing his stuff. Oh well, we wish the couple the best of luck!

Well, Happy Birthday to me! Kim Kardashian is set to start filiming a movie in Atlanta on October 26th (my birthday)!!! She will join the cast of the new Tyler Perry movie, 'The Marriage Counselor'. "The film tells the story of Judith, an Ivy League-educated relationship expert who makes her living dispensing marital advice, but is so bored with her own marriage that she breaks her professional code and cheats with a smooth talking client only to realize she has made a huge mistake. Jurnee Smollett plays the marriage counselor and Kadashian will play Ava, a co-worker who gives Judith a big city makeover and new confidence as she struggles with her personal issues." More celebrities are rolling into Atlanta, Georiga to film these days! The latest additions are Vince Vaughn, Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, Jonah Hill, Will Forte & Billy Crudup. They are in town filming 'Neighborhood Watch.' (*Note: still waiting to officially confirm that Adam Sandler is in the movie, his IMDB page does not list it yet.) This sci-fi-comedy is scheduled to hit theaters in 2012. Filming is just starting up in Marietta & Vince Vaughn has already been spotted around town. Ben Stiller was seen in Midtown getting a pair of his shoes repaired. Rumor is that they are set to film next week in Powder Springs in Amberton subdivision. IMDB states the plot of the movie as: "Suburban dads form a neighborhood watch group to get time away from their families, only to discover a conspiracy." Supposedly their area aliens involved!

Celeb sighting of epic proportions!

The faboosh Lady Gaga was in Atlanta on Tuesday this week. Why? We are still trying to get to the bottom of that, but here she was!

First she took in a braves game (gaga lovers all know how the mother monster enjoys her some baseball.) Sources say she was trying to lay pretty low; she was seated behind a rail and was trying her best to hide. She was dressed pretty demure that day: hair down, black top and black shades. No flipping off the cameras this time! She was with Taylor Kinney who played 'Uncle Mason' on the Vampire Diaries! The two have been rumored to be dating since he appeared in her video for 'You & I'. Also seen in this video are Michael Trevino (from Vamp D.) & Jenna Ushkowitz (from Glee)!:

A source also reported that Gaga made it a true Atlanta experience: Braves game followed by a rousing night at, your favorite and mine, THE CLERMONT LOUNGE! I don't know what happened there, but one can surely imagine. I'm SO angry at myself, as I was this close to heading to the Lounge after my work shift, but decided to behave instead. WHY DID I BEHAVE?! I'd like to imagine that she got herself a beer can crush from Blondie, chatted with the sweet as pie Ginger, and drank a few of those delicious long beach teas I love so much. Perhaps even some karaoke? Who knows, but keep an eye out ATLiens, it seems as though our fair city is being infiltrated by all sorts of celebrities!

OMF(ilming)G - Filming in the ATL

Over the past months, Atlanta has been one of the hot spots for filming. What To Expect When You're Expecting, Vampire Diaries, Walking Dead, and The Three Stooges have been seen filming all around town. And now, we have a new film that will be here in Atlanta until October 7th. It is called the Reluctant Fundamentalist. It stars Keifer Sutherland, Kate Hudson, and Liev Schreiber. It will be filming at 229 Bradbury St tomorrow (Sept. 23) in the Castleberry Hill neighborhood from about 6am to 2pm. You might want to Google that address before just showing up to star-gaze. I see a lot of barbwire fences and such. After the filming wraps in Georgia, the cast will travel to New York & India to finish filming.

Here is a link to the IMDB page for the film. You can see a full description of the plot there. It is based on the novel by the same name. It follows the life of a Princeton student from Pakistan after 9/11.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are back with their first album in 5 years, and they will be presenting the album live in its entirety in a special theater presentation! On August 30th and September 1st, you will be able to catch "I'm With You" at theater locations around Georgia that will be showing a special concert performance of the new album!

OM(ovies)FG - Celeb Sightings in ATL 'What To Expect..'

Lots of celebs on the prowl in the ATL lately! Here's the latest: As you have probably heard by now the film, 'What To Expect When You're Expecting' is being filmed in Atlanta. The cast includes: Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Chase Crawford, Chris Rock and more!

One of the filming locations was Smith's Old Bar. They rented out the place to film some scenes. When they weren't filming there, they were also set up on Broad St. in downtown Atlanta, Rag-o-Rama in Little 5, & they filmed inside a house near Little 5 as well. Here are some pics from the Broad St. Location where they had food trucks set up & were putting down fake Fall leaves in the street. Chase took some pictures with fans & it appears that they are using some of the same crew that helped to film The Three Stooges movie.

All last week Chris Rock was filming in Piedmont Park. Yours truly (me!!) was picked to be an extra for the Chris Rock scenes, but had to cancel last minute. There will be more opportunities..right???

Local spots that the cast have turned into Hot Spots are: South City Kitchen, Bookhouse Pub, & MF Sushi. Chase Crawford was seen hanging out at Bookhouse Pub before jetting back to film more episodes of Gossip Girl. Cameron Diaz was seen TONIGHT at MF Sushi & has been seen at least twice last week eating at South City Kitchen (SCK) on the patio with her mom & then again the same night with a group of friends. SCK has also served it up to Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman.
Gossip Note: I have heard rumors of a bitterness between Ms. Diaz & J. Lo, but can't confirm anything. I'm pretty sure the two did not even film many (if any) scenes together. If there is drama going on, it's sure to have ended by now. I heard J. Lo wrapped her scenes and headed back to American Idol!

American Pie's Tara Reid is now officially married to Zack Kehayov, someone we've barely (never) heard of. After recently ending things with Danish businessman Michael Lilleun, we can probably call this one as "on the rebound." When will celebs realize that getting engaged/married isn't the smartest way to get over an ex?? Sure, it could be a publicity stunt, but Tara confirmed through her Twitter that she "just got engaged," and then a mere 4 hours later, she "just got married in Greece!" Just last April, she called off a 4 month engagement with Michael Axtmann whom she had only dated for a few months before accepting his proposal. Whoa there little D-lister. In another interview with Snooki, she said that when she first met Leo on the red carpet, she looked at him and said "Wanna come back to my room & watch Titanic with me?" I'm not quite sure how this happened..maybe it's the vodka...but I have to say I'm impressed with Taylor Momsen's music and style. Being a fan of the TV show Gossip Girl, I knew Momsen mostly for her role as Jenny Humphrey. I knew that Taylor's role on the show was shrinking due to her desire to tour with her band, The Pretty Reckless, and pursue her music career. Little did I know that I'd actually really like her music. Well everyone, the girl with the face for movies and television has officially hit the music scene. Her wild stage antics have earned the spot in many a gossip magazines. Flashing the crowd, inviting topless girls on stage with her, singing pant less, that's only the beginning for Taylor as she transforms herself being the little girl that starred in The Grinch with Jim Carey to being the next Courtney Love/Brody Dalle.

"I've known Amy Winehouse for years. When I first met her around Camden she was just some twit in a pink satin jacket shuffling round bars with mutual friends, most of whom were in cool Indie bands or peripheral Camden figures Withnail-ing their way through life on impotent charisma," Brand writes. "Carl Barrat told me that 'Winehouse' (which I usually called her and got a kick out of cos it's kind of funny to call a girl by her surname) was a jazz singer, which struck me as a bizarrely anomalous in that crowd. To me, with my limited musical knowledge this information placed Amy beyond an invisible boundary of relevance; 'Jazz singer? She must be some kind of eccentric,' I thought. I chatted to her anyway though, she was after all, a girl, and she was sweet and peculiar but most of all vulnerable."
"I was myself at that time barely out of rehab and was thirstily seeking less complicated women so I barely reflected on the now glaringly obvious fact that Winehouse and I shared an affliction, the disease of addiction. It is cheaper to rehabilitate an addict than to send them to prison, so criminalization doesn't even make economic sense. Not all of us know someone with the incredible talent that Amy had but we all know drunks and junkies and they all need help and the help is out there. All they have to do is pick up the phone and make the call. Or not. Either way, there will be a phone call."

Reports are coming out that singer Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London apartment today. 4:05pm London time. Rumors of an overdose are the only thing circling about her cause of death so far. The singer had recently cancelled her European tour. Sadly enough she will join the 27 Club of famous musicians who passed away at the age of 27. Others include: Kurt Cobain, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, & Brian Jones.

RIP Ryan Dunn

Ryan Dunn from Jackass fame passed away today (June 20, 2011) after his car crashed on a Pennsylvania road. All the details of the incident have not yet been released, but it was believed that Dunn had been drinking before driving. He will always be remembered for his crazy antics on Jackass. He always seemed like such an awesome guy. Our thoughts go out to his family, friends, and fans.

Oh No, Snooks!~ Yes, she's done it again. Crazy behavior from Miss Snooki while filming Jersey Shore's new season in Italy. She "accidentally" crashed her car into the police escort that was in front of her on the streets of Italy. The two police officers in the car were slightly injured and now Snooki is sportin' a neck brace. Although this does not hurt her license in America, I doubt she will be driving too much more in Italy. (as long as the cameras got their shot). I'm betting we will all be able to see the whole crash when the new season airs August 4th. I'm glad that lil munchkin is ok though. I think the whole neck brace thing is an ACT:

Oh my, I have a great place to try if you haven’t already; THE OCEANAIRE SEAFOOD ROOM! Tried this out last week and what a treat!

On the appetizer side of the menu we (2 couples) had Fried Asparagus, Fried Beer Battered Pickles and Oysters Rockefeller. OMG it was very good! My meal was the Baked Stuffed Shrimp with Creamy Linguine Pasta and it was simply delicious!!! My better half ate the 8 oz. center-cut Filet Mignon, butter flied, with the sea salt & vinegar fries (yummy, you know I had to have a taste) and we also had some of the wonderful Mac & Blue Cheese. If that was not enough we also tried the Crème Brule for dessert. I thought I was going to die I was so full! The other couple also enjoyed every bite of their meal.

I will say this is a dining experience so the prices are not like going to your local sandwich shop but for a special night on the town you should give it a try.

My eating has apparently been boring lately and I have not suggested any appealing places to go in a while. Today though I went to CHOW BABY on Ponce de Leon and it was both delicious and fun actually. Being able to pick your own veggies, seasonings and meat to accompany your rice or noodles lets you take part in making the meal. I have to say I thought I did a very good job on my dish! (ha ha!) They also have appetizers, soup etc. The price is reasonable and they had friendly service. If you go at lunch try to be there before 12:00 as it does get crowded. That in itself says it is good!

OMFG - Charlie Sheen: Duh, Losing!

When I first told friends that I was going to see Charlie Sheen at the Fox, I received a very polarized collection of responses. Half of my friends were jealous, and the other half were disgusted. "The show is going to suck"..."He's gonna get booed off stage"..."You will be so mad you wasted your time." But I figured since the tickets were free, I really had nothing to lose. I thought, Who wouldn't want to witness this spectacle? The man went on TV talking crazy and now all of a sudden, he is on tour using the media's ridicule to help fuel his career. It's brilliant! Brilliant concept maybe. But brilliant, the show was not.

The Violent Torpedo of Truth show opened to a guitarist on stage playing through a montage of movie clips, half of which did not even star Sheen. But it definitely served it's purpose for getting the crowd fired up, as drunken college students screamed and cheered at each scene. This relentless screaming continued for a good fifteen minutes into the show. You could barely hear what our man of the hour had to say through the random shouts of "Winning!" "Sorry for partying, Charlie!" and "Fuck Detroit!" echoing through the theater every four seconds. After the mayhem settled slightly, Sheen was able to stumble through a thirty minute monologue that only contained about two actual jokes. The remainder of this time was consumed by awkward banter between Sheen and some audience members, close-ups of two girls in the front row kissing and showing out for an unnecessary amount of time, and a whole segment dedicated to Sheen peeling off Falcons, Braves, and Tech apparel and tossing them into the audience. Of course a little hometown humor and team loyalty will keep people's interest for a while, but after that he lost the crowd.

Sheen then moved into an interview segment where he sat down with Rock 100.5's "Southside" Steve Rickman and Larry Wachs, and after a couple of uninteresting questions, the booing commenced. The crowd was getting restless. Heckles were getting louder and closer together. It was time for Sheen to bring out his secret weapon, Jeffrey Ross. Ross walked out wearing a hazmat suit and proceeded to do what he does best and roasted Sheen. Ross had the crowd cracking up for the next ten minutes. He said he was honored to be part of the "Apparently the Novelty Hasn't Worn Off Yet" Tour. Then hit Sheen with lines like, "It's funny your show was called Two and a Half Men, because that's how many people will be left in the theater when this show's over" and "If you're winning, then apparently there's something wrong with the fucking scoreboard." He mentioned that upon arriving in Atlanta Charlie kept asking how to get to the World of Coke but was disappointed to find out that it was actually the Coca-Cola museum. Appropriately, Ross joked about Sheen's escapades with porn stars, drug use, and his current custody battle. He then wrapped up with some cracks about Sheen's movie career. "Let's face it Charlie. You're the black sheep of a family that was responsible for three Mighty Ducks movies...You make your father ashamed that he shares the same fake last name with you."

Then the ridiculousness ensued when Ross and Sheen stated that the first ten people to make it on stage could ask Sheen one question. One lady asked Sheen to motorboat her on stage, a request which he hesitantly obliged. Ross made funny quips, and some of the audience participants were quite entertaining themselves. Charlie said a few more words about his hopes for his television career to get back on track. He then thanked everyone and brought the show to a close with a performance by ex-MTV Veejay Simon Rex, who apparently (and sadly) has a somewhat budding rap career as Dirt Nasty, rhyming about cocaine in the 80's. It was a sad display, but an appropriate end to the shit fest that we had all just witnessed.

Needless to say, I'm glad I didn't actually spend any money to see the show, and I feel sorry for the people who did. Had it not been for the saving grace of Jeffrey Ross, the whole thing would have been a disaster. And I made sure I let him know this when he walked past us outside after the show. I would have liked to have eloquently complimented him, but instead, in a half-drunken fog, I just slapped him five and shouted, "Jeff Ross! Dude, you fucking rock! You WERE the show, man!" I immediately realized he would not respond the way I hoped since it was not his show. He just looked around slightly bewildered and stated, "Okay. I was the show." Yes, Jeff, you were...Sorry Charlie.
